About Darren Cowdrey

A pastor at California Pacific Conference in Pasadena, Darren Cowdrey has been working in church settings for more than 20 years. Darren Cowdrey holds a bachelor’s degree in English from UC Irvine, along with a master’s degree in theology and divinity from the Pacific School of Religion. He has also been certified as a United Methodist Pastor since 2005.

Aside from that, Mr. Cowdrey possesses extensive public speaking skills, is capable of teaching people of all ages, and has a proven track record of maintaining strong working relationships with church members and staff. He also has more than 25 years of experience working with teenagers and has been involved in creating various programs and faith camps for kids and teens.

Mr. Cowdrey began his career as a pastor at Shepherd of the Hills UMC in Mission Viejo, California. An associate pastor at the church, he was responsible for everything from leading worship and maintaining personal relationships with church members. From Shepherd of the Hills UMC, Mr. Cowdrey took on the role of pastor at Good Shepherd University Methodist Church in Westminster, followed by the role of pastor at the Palisades United Methodist Church, before starting his current position. His responsibilities at the two institutions were the same and consisted of driving new ministries and providing pastoral care to all ages.
